Los Angeles Clippers: 5 Deciding Factors In Game 7
It all comes down to this.
After a resilient win on the road last night, the Los Angeles Clippers tied their epic first round series up with the San Antonio Spurs at three games apiece. Most people thought this series would go the full distance, and with Game 7 set for tomorrow evening, this matchup hasn’t disappointed.
Through the first six games of the series, the Clips have mostly outplayed the defending champs. They’ve had to watch not one, but two pristine opportunities to win close games slip through their fingers — one on a costly Blake Griffin turnover in Game 2 and the other because of a brutal Game 5 DeAndre Jordan goaltend on a shot that might have gone in anyway.
There’s no room for excuses or regrets in Game 7. Fair or not, Chris Paul‘s playoff legacy could be on the line. He could either come through clutch and defeat the defending champs in the first round, or he could continue being the legendary point guard who’s never made a conference finals.
With six epic games under our belts (okay, so maybe only five were epic), we’ve learned a lot about these two teams. Heading into the climactic Game 7, it’s time to figure out what the Clippers need to do in the series closer to knock off the defending champions.
Here’s a look at the five deciding factors of Game 7.
