The Philosophy

The Cleveland Cavaliers might have missed out on Billy Donovan but the Thunder are not.

In some ways Donovan’s style of coaching and offensive philosophy matches the Thunder better than most teams in the league. Donovan is already the type of coach who enjoys when the game is sped up. Giving him a point guard in Westbrook who knows no other speed than 100 miles per hour could be a pairing that could work.

That speed it up run and gun offense that we’ve fallen in love with watching him coach at Florida helped him achieve success. No matter who was on the floor every person was a factor that needed to get accounted for otherwise the opponent would get burned.

Throw in Kevin Durant, the biggest piece to the a championship equation, who can do anything on the floor is only icing on the cake.

Add in those two scorers with a team that has Kyle Singler, D.J. Augustin, Enes Kanter, Anthony Morrow, who all have jump shots and can create the space essential to getting Durant and Westbrook in iso situations and everyone could have a better time.
