Through three and a half quarters of basketball in Game 3, the Golden State Warriors just didn’t have it. Stephen Curry couldn’t hit a shot, Draymond Green was in foul trouble, Anthony Davis was feasting on the Dubs’ highly vaunted defense and the New Orleans Pelicans were enjoying their first home playoff game with 20-point lead entering the fourth.

But the NBA is a game of runs, and as the Brow and company found out last night, it’s not over until it’s over.

Using a 24-7 run over the game’s final 5:50, the Warriors completed a historic comeback to send the game into overtime, ultimately prevailing with a thrilling 123-119 victory on the road. It was a gut-wrenching loss for the No. 8 Pellies, who spent 85 percent of the game proving they could beat Golden State.

But then it all came crashing down thanks to the Baby-Faced Assassin, who came up clutch for the Warriors with an MVP-caliber performance to put New Orleans in a 3-0 hole. Per ESPN Stats & Info, it was just the third time in NBA history a team has rallied from a 20-point deficit entering the fourth quarter.

We all know last night’s Game 3 was crazy, but in order to draw some meaning from one of the best games of the year, it’s time to relive what happened last night. Here are the five biggest takeaways from Thursday night’s manic Game 3.
