4. Only Need One Of Two Games

However, even if it takes a game for the Warriors bench to find its footing on the road, that’s not the end of the world. Why? Because the Dubs only need to steal one of the next two games in New Orleans in order to have the opportunity to close the series out in Game 5 back at home.

The Warriors had the best road record in the association this season (28-13), so gunning for the sweep and the opportunity to get some extra rest before the conference semifinals is the best course. If the Dubs have the opportunity to close things out by the end of Game 4, they should absolutely do so.

But this whole notion that losing to the No. 8 seed at home would be embarrassing is silly. We all know Anthony Davis is capable of taking over a game and at home, he’ll feel more comfortable and desperate facing a two-game deficit. If the Warriors drop a game on the road, it’s no big deal provided they steal the other. That would take the series back home — where the Warriors are 41-2 so far this year — to close things out.
