2. Winning On The Road

In their four meetings, the Warriors won their two home games of the season series by an average of 21.5 points. They scored 112 points in both, they limited the Pellies to less than 100 points in both and they annihilated the Pelicans in transition (72-19) and in points in the paint (120-78).

In Golden State’s two games at Smoothie King Center? One game was a narrow overtime win that required a monumental effort from the Splash Brothers against a Brow-less Pelicans team, and the other was a narrow defeat that saw Curry’s potential game-tying three lip out.

In those two road games, the Pelicans severely limited Golden State’s transition points, nearly matching them in fast break points. They even outscored the Dubs in points in the paint in that OT game. The Warriors are 39-2 at home, and this is Anthony Davis’ first playoff series. Golden State should be able to take care of home-court advantage without a problem.

But in a building where Davis is comfortable, with a rocking playoff crowd ready to ignite in support of their No. 8 underdog? The Warriors are one bombshell game from the Brow away from the series getting interesting, especially once he gets comfortable. Speaking of which….
