23. Nolan Smith

2007-2011

Smith was a prized recruit out of Oak Hill Academy who, like Scheyer, took time to develop. Smith spent four years at Duke, averaging 13.4 points and 2.8 assists per game. In 2011 Smith really took off after an early season injury to Kyrie Irving.

That season Smith averaged 20.6 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.5 rebounds on 45.8 percent shooting. Smith was an average outside shooter and was at his best when driving to the basket. He was athletic, but still very crafty with a very effective floater.

Smith played in the NBA for two seasons and has since bounced around overseas, and the NBDL.
