26. Steve Wojciechowski

1994-1998

The man they call “Wojo” was a pest, and I mean that in the nicest way possible. An absolutely relentless defensive player, he is also responsible for the infamous floor slapping gesture many Duke guards have made when getting into their defensive stance.

He was not known for his scoring, only averaging 5.4 points and 3.9 assists for his career, but in his final two seasons he averaged 2.5 and 2.1 steals per game respectively. Wojo’s defense, leadership, and passion were just as important as a 20-point scorer.

After his playing career he joined Duke’s coaching staff where he would stay until 2014 when he would accept the head coaching job at Marquette.
