Duke: 30 Greatest Players In School History
29. Cherokee Parks
1991-1995
Parks was a talented big man that was fortunate enough to learn the ropes behind Christian Laettner. After Laettner graduated, Parks became “the man” down low. He averaged 12.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game during his career. His final season on campus, Parks really went to work, scoring 19 points and grabbing 9.3 rebounds per game on 50.1 percent shooting.
Duke won a National Championship during his freshman season, and lost in the National Championship Game during his junior season. After Duke, he played in the NBA for 10 seasons on seven different teams.
