Verdict

As usual, this team is hard to peg. They could go home in round one, they could go to the conference finals. There are a lot of variables. I will say this though, I would not be overly surprised if they beat the Atlanta Hawks in a seven-game series.

They’re built for the long and tough games, something the Hawks haven’t had to endure as a group yet. Last season’s tough seven game body blow after body blow fest with the Brooklyn Nets is proof they can hang tough as well.

They have a real hatred for the Cavaliers as well, and if they meet, Chicago will play at a crazy high level to try and beat them. They’ll be going home in the second round again though, but are the one team who could legitimately crash the conference finals party.
