5. Stanley Johnson, SF, 6-7, 243 pounds, Arizona FR*

There have been rumors Johnson is seriously considering staying another year at Arizona, but I just can’t see it. The tough Wildcat small forward put up 13.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.5 steals per game and is arguably the best perimeter defender in the entire draft.

A lot of people are making a comparison to  Andre Iguodala, another Wildcat with similar size and traits. Johnson isn’t quite the passer Iggy was, but you can see why they’re being compared. Like Iguodala, Johnson has the size and speed to matchup against the NBA’s best offensive players, rebounders well for his position, and had a shakey jump shot (although Johnson shot the ball better than expected this season, making 44.6 percent of his shots.

Teams in need of a wing player who can at worst, lock down the opposition, will be looking Johnson’s way come draft day.
