4. Players Still Won’t Come To Orlando

This kind of ties into the weight of (modest) expectancy this team will now have placed on it. It’s acceptable for no notable free agents to join the team this summer. Orlando is likely holding firm in order to save it’s cash for the summer of 2016. As it is, players wouldn’t want to play there right now anyway.

But what the Magic do need to do, is acquire a building block kind of player, to pair with their youngsters. Channing Frye was supposed to be that guy, and much as he’s probably helped the young guys off the court, he hasn’t been what the team had hoped for on the court. So another mentor type player who could be a third option on a playoff team would be ideal.

That, paired with the improved play from the young guys, would make Orlando somewhat appealing in 2016. Plus, being able to throw a lot of money at free agents will also help. So it’s about trying to convince a couple of guys to come this summer, to show that this team is serious about winning in the future. That Florida weather will always help though.
