Despite owning Top 10 picks in six consecutive NBA Drafts, the Kings have only developed one star. That star, DeMarcus Cousins, is one of the very best players in the league today. Somehow, Sacramento has managed to remain near the bottom of the standings in the Western Conference. An unthinkable development. Head coach Mike Malone had the Kings playing high-caliber basketball in 2014-15, but at the first sign a setback, he was fired. That set the tone for the season Sacramento has endured.. (26-47)
