27. 1980-81 Indiana Hoosiers
Before there was the 2008-09 North Carolina Tar Heels, there was the 1980-81 Indiana Hoosiers. This version of the Indiana team also outscored every team in the NCAA Tournament by at least 12 points including a 32-point win over St. Joe’s in the Elite Eight. The Hoosiers’ star was Isiah Thomas, who averaged 5.6 assists per game, but it was Ray Tolbert who won the Big 10 Player of the Year. Tolbert averaged 12.2 points while pitching in 6.4 rebounds a night. Current Wizards head coach Randy Wittman also averaged double digit points for this team.
