This is a prime example of a team who should have won a national championship, but as we see anything can happen in a one game situation. The Jayhawks were loaded with talent, led by future Hall of Famer Paul Pierce. However, he wasn’t even the leading scorer on the team as Raef LaFrentz held that honor with 18.5 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. Also on the team was Jacque Vaughn and Scot Pollard, both of whom played in the NBA.
