30 Greatest Teams In NCAA History
By Bobby Reagan
7. 1991-92 Duke Blue Devils
Played in arguably the greatest game of all time? Check. Had one of the five best collegiate players of all time? Check. Had the assists record holder? Check. NBA talent? Absolutely. Duke checks every single one of these boxes and is easily one of the 10 best teams of all time. The Blue Devils went wire-to-wire as the No. 1 team in the country just two years after being embarrassed by UNLV in the title game in 1990. The trio of Grant Hill, Christian Laettner and Bobby Hurley led Duke to a win over the Fab Five in the 1992 title game. Laettner averaged 21 points and eight rebounds a game during the season while Hurley pitched in with 12 points and eight assists.
