Another team full of future NBA players, had one big star on this team. Sophomore Jerry Lucas averaged 26 points and 16 rebounds a game during the season while also shooting 63 percent from the field helping Ohio State go 25-3 and win the national title. In fact all five starters averaged at least 11 points a game with John Havilcek, Mel Nowell, Joe Roberts and Larry Siegfried. Despite losing two games early in the season, the Buckeyes bounced back to go 13-1 in Big Ten play and then rolling through the NCAA Tournament.
