19. 1978-79 Michigan State Spartans
It’s only fitting that Bird and Magic stay next to each other in this list as they did for their entire careers. Magic gets the nod here due to winning the head-to-head matchup in the 1979 National Championship game. Magic also had the better supporting cast with Greg Kelser leading the team at 18.8 points and 8.7 rebounds per night. Also on the roster was Jay Vincent who went on to play for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA. Magic nearly averaged a triple-double throwing up averages of 17.1 points, 7.3 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game. Michigan State beat five opponents in the NCAA Tournament by an average of 20.8 points.
