Speaking of Recruiting …

It’s not a secret anymore, but people are starting to realize that the SEC is becoming the premier destination for athletes, and it’s not just in football.

Next season the No. 1 player in the high school class Ben Simmons is going to join a number of great and talented players when he joins the LSU Tigers basketball program. It’s not a fluke that Simmons isn’t the only high-profile basketball athlete that will play in the SEC.

Additionally, Texas A&M could wind up with the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation as they’ve managed to get three players, Elijah Thomas, D.J. Hogg, and Tyler Davis, out of the top 35 to commit to their school and they’re not finished yet. Let’s not forget the Kentucky Wildcats either, they’ve gotten Isaiah Briscoe (No. 1 PG) and Skal Labissiere to commit to their school as well.

We haven’t even mentioned the Florida Gators, who at the end of the recruiting season will also have at least two top 50 players from the high school class on their team.

With that being said that’s just all of the talent that’s incoming. Because kids are flocking to the SEC now it’ll be easier to recruit and sell to kids than Wichita State.
