Alabama vs. Everybody

This season Alabama finished with a 19-15 record and still managed to play against more teams in the NCAA tournament than Wichita State.

Alabama played against UCLA, Iowa State, Xavier, and even Wichita State in its non-conference schedule and all of those respective teams made it to the NCAA tournament.

For good measure Alabama also had to play against five other teams in the SEC that made the NCAA tournament: Kentucky, Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss and Georgia.

That’s relatively easy to compare to Wichita State, which only played Utah in its non-conference schedule, as well as Northern Iowa, who also plays in the Missouri Valley Conference, and Indiana, Kansas, and Notre Dame who they played against/will face in the NCAA tournament.

That’s a grand total of five teams from the NCAA tournament, which is only one number more than Alabama played against in their out of conference schedule alone.

When Marshall coaches at Alabama he wouldn’t have a tough time trying to schedule Kansas to play against his team, better programs other than Kansas will be contacting him to play them.
