In a Battle of Defenses, One Team Scored More Points

#4 Louisville Cardinals get star performance to lead them over #5 Northern Iowa Panthers, 66-53

Terry Rozier continues to add to his potential NBA draft stock, scoring 25 points on 8-for-13 shooting while dishing out seven assists and grabbing five rebounds. Rozier took control of the game int he first half and never lost it to lead the Cardinals.

Big man Seth Tuttle did finish the game with 14 points and seven rebounds for Northern Iowa, but was only able to get seven shot attempts with Louisville looking to slow him down as much as possible.

Three other Cardinals wound up with double figures in the scoring column, but it was Montrezl Harrell’s 14 points, seven rebounds and two emphatic dunks down the stretch of the game that put the Panthers away.

Northern Iowa’s season ends with a 31-3 record.

Louisville advances to its fourth-straight Sweet 16 and plays a waiting N.C. State team that upset top seeded Villanova on Saturday. The two faced off once in ACC play with the Cardinals falling 74-65 at home.
