One Player Got Buckets, One Team Got The Win

#1 Wisconsin Badgers top #8 Oregon Ducks, 72-65

Joseph Young did his thing for Oregon, but maybe a little too much of his thing. Young scored 30 points, but did so on 12-for-25 shooting and just four free throws. Meanwhile, Wisconsin’s duo of Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker combined for 25 shots, making 12 of them for a combined 33 points. Two is better than one.

Oregon made a bit of a run late in the game, tying it up at 52-all with 5:56, but a 6-0 over the next two minutes or helped Wisconsin pull away a bit more and finish it off.

Nigel Hayes stepped up for the Badgers as Kaminsky was shadowed for much of the game. Hayes put together a 14-point, five-rebound, three-assist performance to give Wisconsin a nice three-man unit to carry the team.

Wisconsin moves on to its fourth Sweet 16 appearance in the last five years and meets up with 4-seed North Carolina on Thursday.

Oregon ends the year with a 26-10 record.

This feels a bit strange, right?
