All right, so we have to think of Friday as our palette cleanser from Thursday’s NCAA tournament action. Thursday was fast-paced, intriguing, had a number of upsets and even more close finishes. Friday had a lot of defensive-minded teams playing, so the pace was rather slow.

While Friday’s action wasn’t as much of a thrill ride as Thursday was, there was still plenty of action and plenty of solid games. No real upsets in those games, but we can’t have our cake and eat it two days in a row.

Fun Stat of the Day: For the first time since 2007, there was not a single 12-over-5 upset.

Here’s a recap of the Friday’s games and a quick peak at Saturday’s Round of 32 (man, I can’t wait until next year when I can call it the second round like it should be called) games.
