No. 7 VCU vs. No. 10 Ohio State:

Our first overtime game of the tournament provided us with a pretty entertaining showdown between Shaka Smart and D’Angelo Russell, an NBA prospect who’s been carrying the Buckeyes all season long.

This game was no different, with Russell going off for 28 points on 10-of-20 shooting. After an elbow to the face sent Russell to the bench with blood streaming down his face, it felt like the Rams had a chance to seize momentum. But the play was ruled a Flagrant 1, play didn’t resume until Russell returned and the Ohio State outlasted VCU in overtime.

We could mention that Jordan Burgess of VCU had a monstrous block, but let’s be honest. The D’Angelo Russell show is all you really care about.

He missed the shot on that ankle-breaker, but I really don’t give a damn. HE MADE HIS DEFENDER LOOK LIKE HE HAD AN INNER EAR PROBLEM. This kid is going to be good.
