No. 3 Notre Dame vs. No. 14 Northeastern:

Jerian Grant was the big name in this surprisingly close first round matchup (screw the technicality of the play-in games, we’re still in the first round in my book), but it was Demetrius Jackson who stole the show.

Jackson finished with with only nine points, but he added four rebounds, two steals, two blocks and eight dimes, including our highlight of the game. This 6’1″ sophomore had been showcasing his impressive speed, strength and quick hands all morning, but this play was the first big highlight of the tourney:

The game itself wasn’t as pretty as Jackson makes it seem, but the Fighting Irish were able to avoid the early upset and emerge with a 69-65 victory over the Huskies.
