March Madness 2015: Top Plays From Day 1 Of NCAA Tournament
No. 4 Georgetown vs. No. 13 Eastern Washington
By now we’re all aware of Georgetown’s early failures in the tournament over the last few years. It might have even been tempting to go with the Eastern Washington Eagles for the upset in this one. After all, Venky Jois — aside from owning one of the coolest names in the tournament — looked strong all night for the Eagles:
But in the end, the Hoyas pulled away thanks to a monumental effort from their reserves, who scored 45 points in the 84-74 victory. Still, even if he only had four points in the game, Joshua Smith provided us with probably the best Georgetown highlight of the night.
