Boy, was that the most LSU finish possible or what? Not only did the Tigers miss their last 12 field goal attempts AND their last six free throw attempts to close the game, but they blew a 16-point lead to go home empty handed in a devastating 66-65 defeat.

When a player makes a big shot, at the professional OR collegiate level, one common phrase you’ll see on Basketball Twitter is “ONIONS.” It refers to a huge, pure shot.
