Abdel Nader – Iowa State

Abdel Nader is one of those deep options for a No. 3 seed in Iowa State. The junior is averaging just 5.8 points per game, but he’s shown he can break out in some of the biggest games. Most recently in the Big 12 championship game, he scored 13 points in just 25 minutes of action in a win against Kansas.

Nader, who transferred from Northern Illinois, won’t beat you from deep, but he can attack the rim and knows how to get open in Fred Hoiberg‘s motion offense. Perhaps his best game of the season came against a defensive-minded team in West Virginia when he recorded 16 points and seven rebounds in just 21 minutes.

With teams focusing on taking away Monte Morris, Georges Niang or Dustin Hogue keep an eye on Nader to have a big game during Iowa State’s run.
