The most important player on the Golden State Warriors is Stephen Curry. The other most important player the Dubs need to be healthy for the playoffs is Andrew Bogut. But Draymond Green is hands down the most versatile player on Golden State’s roster, and easily their biggest X-factor.

This summer, Green will be a restricted free agent. Teams are going to come at him hard, throwing max-level money on the table to snag one of the NBA’s best defenders and sublime glue guys. We’ve already heard about how the Detroit Pistons want to make him a big offer, but they won’t be the only ones who come calling.

To keep Green, ESPN’s Ethan Strauss believes a five-year max would start at about $15 million and rise to more than $18 million by the end of the deal. That’s a hefty price for a guy who’s been considered a role player until this year, but if this season has been any indication, he’d be well worth it.
