4. Rex Chapman

2 seasons, 17.6 points, 3.6 assists, 2.6 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 40% 3pt

Rex Chapman was as talented as anyone to play in Lexington in the 1980’s. He had a short life at Kentucky, playing just two seasons but became one of 60 players to finish his career with 1,000 points.

There was no transitional period from high school to collegiate ball for Chapman who came in and averaged 16 points as a freshman. His sophomore year, Chapman received All-American and All-SEC honors as he upped his scoring to 19 points per game.

Chapman was a silky smooth shooter, who was a threat from well behind the arc. However, he was also a tremendous dunker, shown by him entering numerous NBA Dunk Contests.
