7. Kyle Macy

3 seasons, 14.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, 52% FG, 88.98% FT

There haven’t been many notable transfers into the University of Kentucky. However, Kyle Macy is one of those. After a year at Purdue, Macy decided to play for the Wildcats and instantly became one of the most beloved and recognized Kentucky players of all time.

His 88.98% free throw percentage is second on the Kentucky list, just .01% behind Jodie Meeks. However, it was Macy who notably bent down to touch his socks before each shot, something that is still talked about in the Bluegrass State.

Macy started on the 1978 national title team and was a two-time SEC Player of the Year. Macy was also a three-time All-American, being named a consensus All-American in 1980.
