Yes, Sam Bowie will be remembered as being a bust in the NBA. Yes, he was drafted before Michael Jordan. That’s because Sam Bowie was that talented when he was healthy.
Bowie was an All-SEC selection all three years he was a Wildcat while being named to the All-American team in 1980 and 1983. Despite missing two years due to a nasty leg injury he left the program as the eighth best rebounder and third best shot blocker.
