The Logic ft. Big K.R.I.T. “Top Ten” – Section (Honorable Mention)
Adreian Payne – Minnesota Timberwolves/PF
Adreian Payne couldn’t have landed in a better situation playing with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Since Payne has become apart of the Timberwolves roster he’s made an immediate impact, also learning from Kevin Garnett doesn’t hurt either. Payne had an awesome game when he played against the Los Angeles Clippers as he finished with 12 points, five rebounds, and one assist.
Moving forward the Timberwolves are going to use Payne a lot more in their offense, and why shouldn’t they? Payne is one of the most underrated rookies in the game, but soon enough that story will change.
Joe Ingles – Utah Jazz/SG
For Joe Ingles, every game is business as usual. The starting shooting guard for the Utah Jazz has brought consistent play from the shooting guard position as he always seems to make timely shots, and make the most intelligent decisions on the basketball court.
Ingles had himself a great game when he played against the Denver Nuggets as he finished with seven points, four rebounds, five assists, and one steal in the 104-82 blowout.
Jakarr Sampson – Philadelphia 76ers/SG
The Philadelphia 76ers don’t have a lot to smile about because their basketball team is putrid. Their rookie shooting guard Jakarr Sampson had himself a decent game when he played against the Toronto Raptors. Sampson only scored seven points, but he did other things on the floor defensively that made him invaluable.
Sampson had a game-high two steals, and also a game-high three blocked shots in the 114-103 loss to the Raptors. If Sampson can keep playing at the level he’s been playing at for most of the season, he’ll become a lock to make the All-Rookie team, he’s been that good.
Bojan Bogdanovic – New Jersey Nets/SG
It’s been a tough few games for Bojan Bogdanovic. The marksman shooting guard had to go on a three game absence due to an ankle injury that he suffered last week. Since coming back from his injury Bogdanovic produced slowly. First he scored seven points in a 104-94 win against the Dallas Mavericks.
However his offense started to pick up as he scored seven points on 3-for-4 shooting, three rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 17 minutes against the Golden State Warriors. Hopefully Bogdanovic can get back to form normal form shortly because the Brooklyn Nets are going to need his shooting and scoring prowess if they want to make the playoffs for the third year in a row.
