11. San Antonio Spurs

Previous: No. 7

Record: 34-22

Last Week: 0-3

Key Acquisitions: N/A

The San Antonio Spurs seemed to hit their stride, but the All-Star Break appears to have broken that up. They’ve lost three consecutive games and are facing an uphill battle in the hunt for the division crown.

If the Spurs can stay healthy, history suggests they’ll turn things around and easily reach 50 wins.

San Antonio is already an entirely different team with Kawhi Leonard in the rotation, and that should not be overlooked. San Antonio is 25-13 with Leonard and 9-9 without him, and that’s as telling a number as you’ll find.

Leonard rounds out their defense and adds a transition element to their offense—something no other player has been able to do.

With the rotation coming back to health, the Spurs have a chance to take over the Western Conference. At this current pace, they’ll be closer to the No. 8 seed than No. 1.

At some point, San Antonio will return to championship form. Right?
