Winner: Oklahoma City Thunder

The clear winners of the 2015 NBA Trade Deadline. Entering the All-Star break, we didn’t know if the Thunder had enough in the tank to continue their surge for the playoffs. Reggie Jackson was a sulking high schooler, nobody on this team could make a three, Steven Adams was hurt and OKC needed an interior post presence.

How quickly Sam Presti fixed each and every single one of those problems! Last night’s victory moved OKC into the eighth spot, and now the Thunder will add Enes Kanter, D.J. Augustin, Kyle Singler and Steve Novak to the roster. All they had to give up was Jackson, Kendrick Perkins, cap filler fodder and a protected 2017 first round draft pick.

Kanter will help the Thunder get easy buckets down low. Augustin is a quality backup who was killing it for the Detroit Pistons filling in for Brandon Jennings. Novak and Singler are terrific shooters and Singler might be the most underrated piece of OKC’s deals since he can take some pressure off Kevin Durant‘s minutes.

Russell Westbrook is a legitimate MVP candidate and as long as KD’s foot soreness isn’t a big deal, the Thunder are dangerous regardless of who they’re surrounded by. Now they’re even more dangerous since the dynamic duo has an extremely deep team around them. The Thunder are title contenders once again.
