3. James Harden (Houston Rockets)
Invited to participate in the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, James Harden was a bit of a disappointment, as he didn’t even make it out of the first round despite shooting 38.3 percent from downtown on the season.
That said, he more than made up for it in the All-Star Game. In a game where not much defense was being played, Harden’s aggressive playing style was greatly rewarded. He scored 29 points on an efficient 11-of-16 shooting, and found his long-range touch, going 7-for-12. He almost had a triple-double as well, recording eight assists and eight rebounds.
It’s been an impressive season for the MVP candidate, and it was nice to see him put up a show in the “World’s Most Famous Arena.”
