1. Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City Thunder)
For those that were wondering if Russell Westbrook deserved his All-Star spot, he more than proved he did during Sunday night’s event. The Oklahoma City Thunder guard came off the bench and scored 41 points in just 26 minutes. He was one point shy of tying the all-time record of most points in a single All-Star Game set by Wilt Chamberlain in 1962.
The All-Star MVP was deadly from long range, going 5-of-9 from behind the arc. He was aggressive from the get go, attacking the rim repeatedly with drives and scoring from a number of ways.
In many ways, this season has been Westbrook’s season, as he continues to show the rest of the NBA what he can do when he steps out from the shadow of Kevin Durant.
