The Sacramento Kings are in need of depth and leadership on a young team under head coach George Karl. The Washington Wizards need a second-unit playmaker to alleviate the pressure from All-Star point guard John Wall.
Mission accomplished.
The Kings and Wizards have swapped point guards Ramon Sessions and Andre Miller. Sessions will head to Washington to be Wall’s backup, while Miller will reunite with Karl in Sacramento.
Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports was the first to report the deal.

This was a straight-forward, one-for-one swap at the 2015 NBA Trade Deadline.
Both teams benefit.
Sessions, 28, has struggled in Sacramento, but is very quick and agile in the open court. He’ll add a more athletic element to the second unit and step in as a playmaker under head coach Randy Wittman.
He’s averaging 5.4 points and 2.7 assists in 17.8 minutes in 2014-15, but put up 10.5 points and 3.7 assists in 23.7 minutes per game in 2013-14.

Miller, 38, receives the opportunity to play under coach Karl once again. The two are close from their time together with the Denver Nuggets.
If nothing else, Miller will be a veteran voice in the locker room for a team with mountains of youth and inexperience. He’ll back Darren Collison up and help the likes of DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay get easier looks.
Sessions is due $2.2 million in 2015-16, while Miller’s contract is set to expire.
