2. Jordan Clarkson – Los Angeles Lakers, PG

The player that has taken everyone by shock is the Los Angeles Lakers point guard, Jordan Clarkson.

The former Missouri Tiger is one of the players who has quickly turned heads with how talented he truly is. With the state of the Lakers looking like it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better, Clarkson is one of the players who’s using his playing time to solidify a future opportunity within the franchise.

With the injuries to shooting guard, Kobe Bryant, and the point guard position looking shaky with players such as Jeremy Lin and Ronnie Price at the helm, it’s been a blessing in disguise for Clarkson. He’s gotten the chance to come into a game and make as many mistakes as he needs, and to learn from trial by fire.

He might have been overlooked to start the season, but next season Clarkson should be the starting point guard. In his last 10 games Clarkson is averaging 13.4 points, three rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.

Not only is he playing for one of the most iconic franchises in North American sports, he’s also living in Los Angeles while doing it.
