30. New York Knicks

Previous: No. 30

Record: 10-43

Last Week: 0-1

Biggest Need: More Cap Relief

As far as immediate success is concerned, the 2014-15 NBA regular season is over for the New York Knicks. At 10-43, the only thing left for New York to do is develop its future and prepare for the offseason.

Not so fast, my friend.

The Knicks have parted ways with Amar’e Stoudemire and could shut down Carmelo Anthony, but that’s not the extent of the major decisions. Phil Jackson has been aggressive in his pursuit of trades, and this could be no different.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, Phoenix Suns star Goran Dragic wants to play for the Knicks.

That’s certainly a start.

Whether or not New York lands Dragic, the 2014 Most Improved Player, this is a promising sign for the future. New York needs to make big moves, and that’s what the trade deadline enables it to do.

There’s only so much to be traded on the current Knicks roster, but anything is possible under The Zen Master.
