21. Utah Jazz

Previous: No. 20

Record: 19-34

Last Week: 0-1

Biggest Need: Lockdown Perimeter Defender

The Utah Jazz have one of the most promising young rosters in the NBA. There are players with immense potential at almost every position, thus creating legitimate championship upside.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Jazz could net a significant return for big man Enes Kanter.

The question is, what should Utah be pursuing?

The Jazz have stars in the making at every frontcourt position in Rudy Gobert, Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors. They also have an intriguing 19-year-old point guard in Dante Exum and reasonable depth along the perimeter.

What Utah lacks is a go-to scorer or a lockdown defender at the guard spots. That could be attainable in a trade centered around Kanter, who Wojnarowski reports is generating interest.

Utah doesn’t need to make a trade, but it’d be wise to pursue scorers, perimeter defenders and draft picks if Kanter is indeed available.
