1. The Risk

If the Phoenix Suns choose not to trade Goran Dragic away, they wouldn’t be wrong. Despite the drop in his performance, Dragic is still a quality starting point guard that can single-handedly affect the Suns’ season. If they decide to trade him, they might as well kiss their hopes of making the postseason away.

However, just like many before them, they would risk allowing him to walk away from nothing. The Suns just have to look at their rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers, for a reminder of what happens when a team gives up a superstar for nothing. The Lakers could have traded Dwight Howard before the trade deadline, but chose to gamble, and ended up letting him walk away for nothing.

If they end up losing Dragic for nothing, the Suns could find themselves back in rebuilding mode once again.
