Another intriguing option for Amare Stoudemire would be to head back to where his career began. The Phoenix Suns could very well have interest in signing Stoudemire, and he would definitely have a chance to win a starting role in Phoenix. They are currently starting Alex Len, Miles Plumlee, or Brandon Wright at the center position, and Stoudemire could step into that role.

Phoenix isn’t as legitimate of a playoff threat as the Clippers would be, but they are still sitting in the eighth playoff spot in the Western Conference. They have an extremely talented back-court in Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe, and bringing in a front-court piece like Stoudemire could be exactly what the doctor ordered.

Stoudemire would likely be interested in heading back to the Suns, especially if they offered him a guaranteed starting job.

There is no question that the Suns are a team to watch in the race to sign Stoudemire. They have all the pieces they need to be a legitimate playoff contender, and adding Stoudemire would strengthen the one weakness that they have had all season long.
