8. Blake Griffin (Los Angeles Clippers)

On Monday, it was revealed that Blake Griffin would be missing at least three weeks after underoing surgery to remove a staph infection from his right elbow. As a result, the consecutive five-time All-Star will miss out on this season’s proceedings.

It is a shame, as Griffin usually thrills the crowd with an assortment of powerful dunks, and in the All-Star Game where defense is optional; the opportunity for throwing alley-oop lobs is much higher.

Blake Griffin is the only remaining active player to have been selected as an All-Star in every season since entering the league.
