NBA Player Power Rankings: Hey Now, You’re An All-Star
By Greg Chin
9. Kyle Lowry (Toronto Raptors)
Last season, when Kyle Lowry was left off the Eastern Conference All-Star team, it caused an uproar. Lowry was considered by many to have been one of the best guards in the East, especially after the Toronto Raptors flourished after trading away Rudy Gay.
This time round, common sense prevailed as Lowry overtook Dwyane Wade in the final round of the voting as a starter on the Eastern Conference All-Star team. Lowry has led the Raptors to the second seed in the East for the first half of the season, and actually even led the East for the first quarter of the season.
Averaging 18.6 points, 7.2 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game, Lowry more than deserves his status as an All-Star starter.
