Fantasy Basketball: Get Yourself Some DeAndre Jordan
By Steve Krebs
With Blake Griffin set to possibly miss the next four weeks, DeAndre Jordan will look to take a step closer to first-round fantasy basketball basketball production. Owners should be either coveting him, with no desire whatsoever to trade, or looking to buy if they can afford the asking price — which, I have no doubt will be substantial after the last game (22 points, 27 rebounds) .
Attaining these services at this present time will certainly cost, but if you are attempting any kind of push for the playoffs down the home stretch, and an increase in field goal percentage, rebounds and points are the only obstacles in your way of advancing, considering this an option would be most beneficial.

Once again, do this only if you can afford it, and the needs applies to your teams situation. It will be most harmful if you blow up your roster to acquire one guy if they are either not applicable, or too costly for you to remain successful — No one is giving him up for a package of Ro-Lo, and Bro-Lo, just saying.
Here Are 5 Reasons Why Owning DeAndre Will Help Your Fantasy Basketball Team, As Well As the Los Angeles Clippers.
- Not only is Deandre on the verge of having the highest (FGP) of any documented NBA season (.725) , expect an increase in points from the 10.5 currently averaged — the Clippers will need to run more offense through Jordan, so they can make up for the points lost with Griffin.
- Wing shooters are also going to have more offensive plays run for them, which will mean a ton of more offensive rebounds, and rebounds in general.
- Over the past 30 days, no center or power forward has more total rebounds — in the month of February, DeAndre is averaging 15.6 boards every contest.
- In the last two games, there has been a minutes increase of 37 compared to the 33.5 averaged this season — not to mention he is currently having his lowest season for personal fouls accumulated per game.
- Here is Deandre’s shot chart for January:
Many owners will be looking to snatch up Spencer Hawes from their waiver wire, which is not a bad play, but in this situation, it certainly looks like the biggest benefactors will be Chris Paul, and DeAndre Jordan.
So prepare to see a lot more of this:
Blake’s injury leaves a gigantic void in the scoring department, so CP3, and DJ will be seeing all the scoring opportunities, and minutes, they can handle — this will only translate into blistering fantasy production, the kind that gets owners in the playoffs.
Because if nights like Monday are remotely possible even once a week, the next month is going to be a real doozy. Please do not assume that outings like these will be the rule rather than the exception, but they are a lot more likely due to the necessity for success.
