NBA Player Power Rankings: Can Anyone Overthrow the Leader?
By Greg Chin
1. Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors)
After losing two straight games and teetering on the verge of a “slump”, the Golden State Warriors bounced back with three-straight victories this week. The upcoming schedule does not look kind for the Warriors, who will play just once at home for the rest of the month.
Thankfully, the team looks to be in good nick, especially their All-Star point guard Stephen Curry.
Curry was back to his best, averaging 32.8 points, five rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game. He’s also kept his turnovers low, averaging just two per contest – a remarkable achievement for a player who receives so much defensive focus and spends so much time on the ball.
His best game this week was against the Dallas Mavericks, where he dropped 51 points on 10-of-16 shooting from three to lead the Warriors from a 22-point deficit.
