MVP: Stephen Curry

With Curry being one of the frontrunners for the league-wide MVP award, it’s no wonder he finds himself atop this list midway through the season. Averaging 22.8 points, 8.2 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game on .494/.396/.920 shooting splits, this Splash Brother is right on the cusp of joining the 50-40-90 club.

It’s also worth noting that he beat out LeBron James as the top vote-getter for the All-Star Game.

Curry is top five in points, assists, steals, free throw percentage, true shooting percentage, Player Efficiency Rating and total win shares. He’s the maestro of a top-five offense and a regular heat check that could threaten to go full Human Torch on the opposition at any given moment.

The best part is Steve Kerr hasn’t had to ride Curry too hard. With the Dubs posting an NBA-best point differential of +11.9 and boasting one of the deepest benches in the league, Golden State is regularly blowing teams out, which allows both Splash Brothers to save their energy for the playoffs.

That being said, Curry isn’t afraid to go supernova or knock down a game-winner when he has to.

Like Thompson, Curry is also being extremely productive despite receiving fewer minutes than he did last year. He’s still got some of the crispiest handles in the league, he’s becoming an exquisite passer and he’s even dunked a few times this season!

With Steph Curry also improving so much defensively this year, this one’s a no-brainer.
