Verdict: On Fire

On January 11, the Portland Trail Blazers became the first team in the NBA to reach 30 wins. It was a balanced victory from a team that, with every passing games, moves closer to running away with the Northwest Division title.

More importantly, Portland’s looking like a team without a crippling weakness.

The Blazers rank No. 1 in rebounds per game, No. 3 in 3-point field goals made per game, No. 5 in 3-point field goal percentage and No. 9 in assists per game. It’s No. 8 in offensive efficiency.

Defensively, the Trail Blazers have been even more dominant.

Terry Stotts’ crew ranks No. 1 in scoring defense, 3-point field goals allowed per game and opponent 3-point field goal percentage. It’s No. 2 in opponent field goal percentage and No. 3 in defensive efficiency.

Plain and simple, this team is a championship contender. Portland’s won eight of its past nine games and 13 of 15 to prove it.
