4. Washington Wizards

Previous: No. 8

Record: 26-12

Last Week: 3-1

Verdict: Hot

Leading up to the 2014-15 NBA season, the Washington Wizards were a trendy pick to come out of the Eastern Conference. It’s been rocky at times, but the Wizards appear to have found their form.

Led by point guard John Wall, Washington has been dominant in recent games.

Wall currently leads all Eastern Conference guards in All-Star votes, and rightfully so. He’s been a tremendous force on both ends, specifically in his incredible development as a facilitator.

The 24-year-old is No. 1 in the NBA with 10.3 assists per game.

The Wizards have dealt with injuries to key players, and a healthy rotation routinely impresses. Recently, Washington earned convincing victories over the likes of the Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs.

Wall is as capable as any point guard in the NBA of leading this team to the promise land. It’s all about the supporting cast stepping up as it’s capable of doing.

Thus far, the signs have been promising.
