3. Jordan Mickey – LSU/F

The LSU Tigers have one of the best teams in the country and they also have one of the best front lines in the country. In all honesty either of their star forwards on LSU, Jarell Martin or Jordan Mickey, could win the SEC Player of the Year award because each of them are talented in their own right.

However the slightest edge has to go to Mickey because there may not be another defender inside of the SEC as tenacious as he is. Defensively Mickey is of the best players in the country and he could easily win the SEC Defensive Player of the Year. Mickey on the year has had multiple games where he’s had six blocks or more, as well as having multiple double doubles on the year.

LSU is 11-2 and they are on a seven game winning streak. Their next game is against the Missouri Tigers, and their only bright spot Johnathan Williams III.
